Australia today is a multi cultural society, with people from all areas of the world.  Australian society consists of a large mix of differing people and cultures.

The Indigenous people of Australia, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are the traditional owners of this land and have been here for well over 60,000 years.  They are spread all around the country, consisting of many different individual groups who have their own culture, language, music, traditions, sports, beliefs and much more.

Australia’s Indigenous cultures are the oldest living cultures in the world.  Despite misunderstanding of these cultures resulting in significant and often destructive changes to their way of life they are still alive and living today.
